Editorial policy
Golden Cinema Journal aims to make writing about cinema clear, considered and trustworthy. We distinguish what can be checked from interpretation, and correct the record when we get something wrong.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, titles and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. Where a point is uncertain or disputed, we say so rather than presenting one account as settled. Our criticism and interpretation are arguments, not claims to a single correct reading.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and to cinema, not to secure favourable coverage. We do not promise a positive response in exchange for access, products or support, and we keep editorial judgment separate from partnership arrangements.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published work when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is identified plainly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they are identified and are not presented as documentary images.
A film has more than one life
Cinema belongs to its stories, but also to its makers, viewers and moment in time. Looking closely can reveal how those lives meet.
