Write for us
Golden Cinema Journal welcomes original pitches on film history, screen craft, genres, film culture and adaptation. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a complete article unless requested.
What we like to read
We look for a distinct subject, a clear central idea and a reason a curious general reader might care. Strong pitches offer a fresh angle on a film form, a screen choice, a historical change or a cultural custom, without assuming specialist knowledge.
Shape a useful pitch
Tell us the proposed title or subject, the main point you want to make, the likely scope and why the piece suits Golden Cinema Journal. Mention the sources or films you expect to draw on, and disclose relevant interests or partner relationships.
Original work and review
Pitches should be original and not published elsewhere. A proposal is not a commission, and we may suggest changes to scope or framing before accepting a piece. Please use the Contact page to send your proposal; do not include confidential or sensitive information.
A film has more than one life
Cinema belongs to its stories, but also to its makers, viewers and moment in time. Looking closely can reveal how those lives meet.
